I should watch Gosford Park again. I saw it when it came out and I just associate it with my mother and boredom. Here are some suggestions: 2 Peter Weir early films--Picnic at Hanging Rock and The Last Wave--OR, even better, watch the Truman Show before or after one of the above. In some ways, the Jim Carrey film isn't such an extreme departure for him. Kudos to breaking your own rules in the first entry of this series.
