The dollhouses really shot on a Red? Hmm, nice. I did notice a dramatic difference between those scenes--whether it was the camera or Stanley Tucci's acting of the greatest meticulousness(I really did not recognize him until the end)(also can we please make a comment about that face when he was announced for an Academy Award?). Whatever it was, I do agree that was very nice part of the film. The Lovely Bones was pretty damn tear jerking, but I agree, there were some parts that really made me go "what the hell"...mostly in the limbo scenes.
Anyway, great post!

I agree with you Brian. The Lovely Bones is better than it gets credit for, but it is still a very flawed film. I also agree with you that Tucci was phenomenal, but I would disagree with you on the visuals. I thought that it was a beautiful film to watch and some of the effects were spectacular. It was a very ethereal film, and before it fell apart at the end I thought that worked very well.
