I’m torn.

It’s titled “The Most Boring Video In The World” on YouTube, but the truth of the matter is that if it were shown in a video art gallery, we might all consider it brilliant. Not because of its long-winded explanation of my inability to simplify my travel packing habits, but simply because there is nothing like it anywhere else. Anywhere.

George and Amelia, who look as though they just walked out of a screening of The Amazing Panda Adventure (which I’m sure they did not pack appropriately for either) are going on a two-week tour of France. Elaine is their packing guru.

That’s the entire scenario. So in that, things to watch for:

@ 1:32 — Amelia’s expression to Elaine taking her nail polish away is uncomfortably authentic.

@ 2:01 — George spikes the camera as Elaine goes through the wallet and seems authentically uncomfortable.

In the event you don’t think it’s video art, here are some comprehension questions for “The Most Boring Video in the World” (just like in middle school):

1. What happened in Elaine’s life that brought her to become a packing specialist? (If you want to cheat, just click here.)

2. Why are there no buttons, only two sets of holes, on Elaine’s coat? (It is not a double breasted jacket.)

3. Going by Elaine’s advice, if you are traveling by train, is a watch actually necessary? (I’m not kidding … you can extrapolate this.)

4. How does the amount money in relation to the amount of cards that Amelia carries in her wallet reflect her (and George’s) economic status?
